OB Appointment #3
My appointment today went well. We were in and out within 15 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that I have only gained one pound! Well actually, I lost 7 originally since becoming pregnant and I have gained one back, so in my mind I am still minus 6 haha! I asked her if that was bad because all the books say that by now you should be gaining weight but she said no. She asked if I was eating and I said I was, so she said she wasn't concerned. I feel like I've gained more than 1 pound and my pants fit like i've gained 10!
We scheduled my ultrasound for June 19th so that my Grandma could be here to see it. She is almost 83 years old and has never seen an ultrasound. Amazing.
Anyway, I'm 16 weeks and 3 days. She listened to the baby's heartbeat and it was between 155-160 so that's good. Then she sent me across the hall to the vampires again!!! AHHH. I was hoping that I could get the same girl who I had last time but no such luck. I got a new girl who was unsure which vein to use because SHE couldn't find one either. Even after I told her where it was. She stuck me in the arm and she missed...I kept my cool, kept my patience...and just glared at Troy =) She had to use the infant heat warmers on my hand in order to get my veins to pop up. She stuck me again...and hit the vein this time. Lucky for her because I wasn't going to let her try again.
Should be able to feel the baby moving soon! I think I already have, I'm just not sure because I don't really know what to expect.
